I am an Education Specialist with nearly a decade of experience teaching students with mild to moderate disabilities. Teaching style
My teaching style emphasizes hands-on, visual, and multi-modal learning strategies to engage students who learn differently. I incorporate real-world applications, interactive tools, and differentiated worksheets to ensure that all students can connect with the material. With a focus on math, I aim to make abstract concepts relatable and fun.
Awards & shining teacher moments
During the pandemic, I spearheaded the opening of an online school within my current school district, creating a virtual learning environment to support students in unprecedented times. With 4 years of experience as a virtual teacher, I’m proud to have adapted and innovated to ensure my students received high-quality education despite challenges.
One of my proudest moments was when a student who struggled with multiplication gained the confidence to teach their peers using various multiplication strategies we practiced together. Watching my students achieve “lightbulb moments” and celebrate their progress fuels my passion for teaching.
My own education history
I hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and am completing my Master’s in Special Education (M.Ed.). This unique combination equips me to blend structured planning with creativity, designing resources that are both functional and innovative.
