This is a parent letter letting them know about a recycling project. Our grade level used it after learning about the ways we impact the environment and how to help it.

In this file you will have two documents, one is a interactive notebook piece for students to record their vocabulary on this unit and the other is a quiz on those same words. Solid, Liquid , Gas, Physical Change, Evaporation, Condensation, & Freezing.

This is a short quiz to make sure students understand the vocabulary being taught in the unit Properties of Matter. SC.4.P.8.1 Measure and compare objects and materials based on their physical properties including: mass, shape, volume, color, hardness, texture, odor, taste, attraction to magnets. SC.4.P.8.4 Investigate and describe that magnets can attract magnetic materials and attract and repel other magnets.

This is a 9 question vocab quiz on the tools a scientist uses. I use this during the unit Thinking Like a Scientist at the beginning of the school year.

This is a great independent center activity for students to complete. PERFECT for a science assessment on the standard!
