Sherman Alexie / Sade Lesson using Song and Poetry Paired reading- This was a fantastic activity in the classroom. The students loved it and it was a great way to show cultural similarities between the Black and Native American communities.

Research Report- Cultural project. This was a wonderful project to give to my students. They absolutely enjoyed it and did very well. I used it as a research report which most state standards and Teks require from students in secondary grades. It has an outline and exemplar present. There is also a student version which is not included. You can edit it as you wish and make it your own document. Have fun with your kiddos!

This is a lovely module to give your students to assess their thorough understanding of sentence structures. Can they confidently differentiate between what a fragment sentence is or a run on? Try it out in your class and thank me later! Appropriate for grades 5 to 12. Even great in adult education settings.
