These slides can be used alone or incorporated into other presentations. The presentation format will allow you to remove my Bitmojis and replace them with your own. They're a fun way to remind students about Zoom or Virtual classroom expectations. The norms and and check list items can also be altered to fit your individual classroom.

About the store

Experience

I have been an educator in Title I schools for over 10 years. My ability to motivate and engage students has given me the opportunity to teach many grade levels and subjects. I've created various curriculums from scratch, as well as creating mini lessons to enhance predesigned ones.

Teaching style

I like to ensure that all students have the confidence necessary to succeed in education and open up opportunities for their futures. I try to infuse high interest topics into Common Core aligned lessons.

My own education history

My initial degree was in psychology. That lead me to working one on one in classrooms with students, and sparked my interest in education. From there I went back and received my teaching license in PA, as well as earning a Bachelor's equivalent in English (didn't want to pay extra to have it declared a formal degree). I then moved to NC and currently hold a P2 license. Later in my career I found myself taking on many leadership roles, which lead me to pursue my Masters in Educational Leadership.

Additional biographical information

I myself was a student with learning disabilities. I have dyslexia and four other learning disabilities associated with reading. It took me until college to figure out how I learned best. When I became and educator I was determined to design curriculum with those students in mind, because the strategies that helped me be successful transfer to any student regardless of level. I found that some small touches can assist a variety of learners.
