Students choose 10 objects to weigh on a balance using cubes as the unit of measure. They can record the objects name or draw a small picture of the object in one column and write the number of cubes in the other column. Can be used as an independent or whole class activity.
After reading several animal alphabet books, my students wrote their own.
Make it easy with this pre-writing sheet! Print two copies per student. As they browse animal books, have them select an animal for each letter. Students should write several words (ie: black and white, runs fast, lays eggs) in the "fact" column.
When it's time to write, students are ready to write interesting sentences for each letter of the alphabet. Use the paper of your choice and this title page for the cover.
