I noticed that my students needed support with financial terms when looking over their work with word problems that involved money. It wasn't so much that they didn't understand the math, but more the specific vocabulary. So my friend and I created this book about "Sammie" who goes shopping and learns all the money words! It even gets into percents which is far too complicated for my 3rd graders but may be useful for even 6th grade teachers!
