Writing linear equations in the form of y = mx + b. Students are given a graphic organizer to determine the value of the slope and y-intercept and identify the meaning of the x-value in context to the problem.
This was used as a quiz (graded assignment) to make sure my students understood knew how to identify the different types of slopes, calculate the slope using slope formula, determine the slope from a graph, identify the slope and y-intercept from a line written in standard form and write the equation of a line given the slope and y-intercept.
