This booklet describes many ideas for starting your own tutoring business. The ideas could also be used by a paraprofessional for students with special needs. Subject areas include: Written Language, Spelling, Math and Organizational Needs. Included are websites that have been useful in my tutoring business.
This chart provides a template for students to sort words with various spellings of the same sound. This example uses words with au-aw-ough and augh. Students make index cards for words to place into the appropriate columns. They could then highlight the particular spelling pattern on the index cards.
