Slides require students to make a determination by classifying objects as solid, liquid, or gas and their properties. Objective: The student will identify everyday objects as solid, liquid, or gas. The student will compare the observable physical properties of solids, liquids, or gases.

Eight of the slides require student discussion Objective: The student will observe that water changes from liquid to solid and back again as the result of temperature changes. The student will describe the changes in the physical properties of water when frozen or melted.
