Me By The Numbers Project
This is a creative project meant for 4th-6th graders, where students create a Google Site or a Google Slideshow using numbers and photos to represent important aspects of their lives. For example, a student may choose the number 3 for a slide because they have three siblings. The student would then write a description explaining why they chose that particular number, and share a photo (s). This is a great project to assign for the beginning of the year as a "get to know me" activity, or assign d

Experience
I have been teaching 5th grade for seven and a half years. Six of those years have been spent teaching 5th grade math and science, which I adore!
Teaching style
I teach utilizing the Danielson framework, with a gradual release of responsibility for the students. Additionally, I am a big proponent of personalizing learning, and giving students voice in choice in their learning. Therefore, my teaching combines instruction, practice, and project-based learning.
