Master Mathematics

This activity is used for quiz, quiz, trade as a whole group activity. Each student is given a card and then meets up with another student. Each student answers their partner's card and then they trade. Students keep moving throughout the allotted time. I usually give the class 5-10 minutes depending on their understanding of the concept at the time. This activity may also be used for small groups or centers as well. This activity will reinforce writing numbers with exponents, zero exponents and negative exponents. You may choose to use the cards as task cards or quiz, quiz, trade. My students respond well to quiz, quiz, trade. I have included a notebook page and an answer sheet. My students told me they stay more organized when I give them an answer sheet. This assessment can be used to assess a unit on Multi-Step Equations. It could also be used for a study guide. The assessment includes, solving multi-step equations, translating equations and writing equations. There is one all-solution equation and one no-solution equation.
