I have been teaching middle school math for over 20 years. I have taught all middle school grades in math and science. Currently, I am a math interventionist for 6th, 7th and 8th graders in Michigan. I am enjoying this new role and I am learning how to individualize instruction in new ways. It is extremely rewarding!

Middle School Daily Math Exit Slip/Warm-Up: Solving Multi-Step Equations
This resource is great for an exit slip or warm-up. There is one problem for each day of the week. The topics included in this resource are Solving Equations with variables on both sides of the equation. This resource would also be great to use for a constructed response and practice justifying answers. I have also included a worksheet for students with tips on helping them justify their answers more effectively. This resource was designed to encourage my students to work harder at answering MST

Teaching style
I teach most of my lessons traditionally and utilize Kagan strategies. I am learning about Building Thinking Classrooms and I am realizing how valuable this strategy is for the middle school grades.
