I am a Master in my Field. I am an educator with years of experience teaching and tutoring. I began my career in a college writing center, transitioned to early childhood education, and then tutoring and general education. I’m working in a library now, bringing educational programming to a diverse group of students grades K-8 in diverse subject fields. My mission is to promote literacy and support all learners, helping them to also become Masters in their Field.

Experience
I am a Master in my Field. I am an educator with years of experience teaching and tutoring. I began my career in a college writing center, transitioned to early childhood education, and then tutoring and general education. I’m working in a library now, bringing educational programming to a diverse group of students grades K-8 in diverse subject fields. My mission is to promote literacy and support all learners, helping them to also become Masters in their Field.
Teaching style
I believe in a pedagogy of kindness that is centered on the learner’s goals and needs. Teacher modeling followed by real-life practice and application are essential for making progress towards learning goals. When teaching reading, it begins with building and maintaining a love for reading. Couple that with explicit, systematic, and diagnostic learning, and they are certain to become Masters of their Field.

As a current library employee who provides educational programming, I am proud that my city employer provided my team with a Team of the Year Award for our service to the public in their educational goals.
My own education history
My Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature with a concentration in Education was my first shining moment. I have always had a love for reading and writing, as well as a passion to help educate the next generation. I spent time teaching in early childhood education, then general education while earning my Master’s degree in Education. It is my passion to use my mastery in education to create curriculum for educators.
Additional biographical information
Creative writing and content creation is another passion of mine. I’m creative, but grounded in my knowledge of teaching. I hope that is a combination that helps give you products that support both you, the educator, and your young learners who want to learn and be entertained!
