About the store

Experience

I’m currently in my third year of teaching 5th grade math and science. I’ve taught two separate curriculums and often create my own materials to meet my students' needs. I also have experience in early childhood education, 2nd grade, and working with students of all ages (K-12) through various student teaching placements and internships. My background allows me to develop engaging, standards-aligned resources that support student understanding and success.

Teaching style

My teaching style is rigorous yet engaging, incorporating a variety of strategies to support student learning. I use games, activities, and partner work to keep students actively involved, along with whole class instruction and anchor charts to reinforce key concepts. I also integrate videos to enhance understanding and encourage a student-centered, student-led approach where learners take ownership of their education.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I’m honored to be a member of Kappa Delta Pi (KDP) and Phi Theta Kappa (PTK). I was also recognized as the Novice Teacher of the Year

My own education history

I hold an Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, and Master's degree, each from different education programs and colleges. Currently, I am pursuing an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree. My diverse educational background has provided me with a broad range of resources and perspectives, deepening my understanding of how to best serve my students. This journey continues to shape my teaching practices and allows me to create effective and engaging learning experiences for all learners.
