Teaching style
I like to have clear procedures in my classroom so that students know what to expect and don't need to wait around to be told what to do. New topics are usually introduced with an exploration activity. Mental Math and spiralled review questions start every lesson and students are offered multi-sensory opportunities to grow understanding. As much as possible I try to allow students to learn at their own pace and give them options to personalize their learning. Even if the class has moved on from a topic, students always have the opportunity to revisit past topics and can be re-assessed whenever they feel ready.
