I have bachelors degrees in mathematics and English with an undergraduate minor in general science. Additionally, I have earned a MaEd. in curriculum, assessment and instruction. Together, this training has inspired interdisciplinary approaches to teaching high school math. I have taught algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus and calculus at college preparatory, honors and A.P. levels for 16 years.

Conics Exploration Using Geogebra TM
This exploration involves guided instructions that may be downloaded and printed for students. Hard copies will allow students to refer to instructions while also recording observations in writing. Students will complete steps necessary to create conic sketches using Geogebra TM, an open domain software and fee app. The exploration culminates in a creative drawing by individual students using conic section sketches exclusively.
