Math Connections

This exercise guides students through an exploration of theorems involving parallel, perpendicular and transversal lines. The step-wise approach also allows students to become familiar with the functions available on Geogebra TM, an open domain software and fee app. Students will record findings on handout and also produce a hard copies of Geogebra TM sketches. Subsequent projects and exercises will rely on this introductory use of Geogebra TM.

This is the second notes template provided for student graphical organization and reference. The file is provided as a word document so that teachers can make adjustments per text in use. Students will complete steps necessary to create conic sketches using Geogebra TM, an open domain software and fee app. The exploration culminates in a creative drawing by individual students using conic section sketches exclusively.
