Modeling Multiplication Using the Distributive Property

Students use the virtual anchor charts/graphic organizers to model multiplication and the distributive property. The jpeg- formatted charts are so easy to add to your online or classroom settings. The teaching ideas and guided questions help students understand and practice the concepts. It takes about 15 minutes to prepare whether your delivery is online or in the building. Plus, evaluation is so easy with the rubrics provided.

Fraction of the Day for Third Grade

"Fraction of the Day" for Third Grade is a daily skills review. Use it as your "opener" or "do now." Be sure to allow the students to share their models. You, the teacher decide on the day's fraction. Students use the graphic organizer to write the reciprocal, compare the fraction to the number one, draw a model, convert to a decimal, and graph on the number line. Color and gray scale versions along with a sample activity are provided. Enjoy.
