About the store
30+ years of Software Engineering. I don't actively teach but I have tutored on occasion. In college I studied Math and Science extensively. I used my computer skills to build tools to visualize the Mathematics for a better understanding. I created the very first version Math Dynamics in 1989. It ran on an Apple IIc and was written in BASIC.

A Treatise on Trigonometry

Trigonometry is based on the fundamental principle of ONE length. The length in this context is immaterial because with Trigonometry we only need be concerned about ONE. For example if you draw a circle it is ONE circle no matter how big or small. Because it is a circle it has only ONE center with a constant distance to the edge of the circle. This constant distance is ONE and is called the Radius.

Use the Math Dynamics Function Pallet to interactively explore the Maclaurin Expansion Series to calculate the sin for any angle. The only other way to find the sin of an angle is to physically measure it or look it up in a table of previous calculated values, like a Slide Ruler. Includes a Slide Show to explain the technique to do just this.

using  The Math Dynamics Multivariable Algebra Expression Based Graphing Calculator Complete the Square method is an algorithm to find the Roots of a Quadratic Equation both Real and Complex.  This exercise focuses on using the “Complete the Square” method to calculate the Real Roots so it only makes sense to use a Quadratic Function that has two real roots. We start with a Quadratic Function defined as −3∗x2+2∗x+4

At any time you can download the State of the Expression including all the variable values, result and trig mode. You can then load this file to recreate the State of the Expression. You can also load this file into the Math Dynamics Community Edition Android App. There is a link to this Graphing app on the Math Dynamics Page. The Function Card is interactive. Type in any Algebraic Based Expression and see the solution in real time. If there are variables in the expression the values can b

Experience

30+ years of Software Engineering. I don't actively teach but I have tutored on occasion. In college I studied Math and Science extensively. Teaching style

I believe a picture is worth thousands of words. Some things are just extremely difficult to visualize without an actual visual experience

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have written multiple Software Titles not all of which are currently in production. Titles include FileNotes, Math Dynamics, TRAX, Coupon Cache and Vibrology (The Pothole Project). For more information see my blog at https://jamworkspro.wordpress.com

My own education history

B.S. Computer Information Systems Texas Tech University 1990

Additional biographical information

I've completed major projects for a number of Fortune 500 Companies including IBM, Ford Motor Company, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Citi Corp. as well as AT&T and GTE. Today I publish my own Software Titles. My Math Dynamics title is inspired by my duty and responsibility as a U.S. Citizen and Veteran to do my part to create a more intelligent and enlightened society.
