My 8th graders need a lot of practice when it comes to graphing linear equations, and I've found task cards to be one of the activities that gets them to really spend time on this concept. As we discuss what makes a number rational vs. irrational, we fill in the blanks and convert each of the numbers on the rational side to fractions. This is an excellent reference for students to go back and review exactly how to distinguish between rational and irrational numbers.
