Math Picture Book: Math from A to Z
This picture book activity involves students reviewing math vocabulary terms and using letters of the alphabet to help them select the terms to highlight. For example, "A" might be for angle, "B" for base, "C" for circle, etc. Supplemental activities, alternate activities, and a rubric are included.

Teaching style
I prefer for students to work in pairs. Students have a warm up activity and a review of concepts taught in the unit so far, then are taught a lesson and work in pairs to solve the day's problems. Each student is responsible for a math notebook containing vocabulary, examples, formulas, drawings, definitions. Homework is typically a review and practice assignment to be completed within a couple of days. Students have my home phone number, and can receive tutoring before or after school.
