Factor Captor is a great game to play in a center or at your small group table that encourages practice of multiplication facts! It also is a great way to talk to students about strategies that they used when playing and how prime numbers and composite numbers can effect their strategies! Great hands on center that practices facts and mental math!

Teaching style

I like to teach in the zone, I love to get kids moving around learning,. and I love group work! Centers are really awesome in the lower levels of mathematics, which a lot of my 5th grade math stuff is based on centers.
