This graphic organizer may be used as an informal pre-assessment, class practice, buddy activity, math notebook notes, or individual note taking for the Real Number System. The task includes a number "Sprinkles" bank. Directions: Students will first 'Sprinkle" the numbers on the ice cream scoops in order to classify irrational numbers, rational numbers, whole numbers, integers, and natural numbers. Students use this organizer to guide them through the process of first finding the GCF and then using the GCF to factor the expression. I used the ladder method with my students. Students use foam dice to randomly place 3 numbers in the first row of boxes for unlimited practice with using the Distributive Property to Solve. The arrows and boxes help students visualize how to show the Distributive property when solving expressions.
