Teaching style
At Math & Literacy Bridge, I teach with the belief that every student—regardless of ability—is capable of learning. My practice centers on discovering the right method for each learner, whether that’s visual supports, adapted tasks, or structured strategies like Cornell Notes to help students stay organized and engaged. I provide tools and scaffolds, and I also hold learners accountable, because meaningful growth happens when students do the work.

I was honored as Teacher of the Year (2023–2024)—a recognition that reflects my dedication to inclusive and high-expectation teaching. I was also invited to share my classroom strategies at a professional special education forum, where I presented how using Cornell Notes can help students with disabilities develop stronger communication, independence, and organizational skills. These moments highlight the heart of my work: bridging learning gaps and helping students thrive.

I hold an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, with specialized training in special education and instructional coaching. This background shapes the creation of resources that are both rigorous and accessible for diverse learners.
