This file contains three different projects with solutions and a quick reference card for students. It correlates to Bluman's Elementary Statistics textbook.
First is an Introduction to Excel. There is an example, guided practice and then 4 Projects. The instructions are on each sheet. The topics covered are: basic editing and formatting, beginning charts, beginning formulas, such as SUM and AVERAGE, and calculations. There is an editable grading rubric for this project. These puzzles were created to help students practice the vocabulary for (Capítulo 3) Chapter 3 in the Asi Se Dice Level 1 textbook. The file includes 2 crossword puzzles, one for Vocabulary 1 and one for Vocabulary 2. I also included an Excel file in case you may want to change the clues and make your own puzzle. I did a mix of Spanish and English clues for the puzzle. The vocabulary used was for "en la clase" and "después de la clase."
This is a one page handout that has students create their own design using line segments, then calculate slope, write equations, find x and y intercepts, and write the domain and range in interval notation. There is an example on the second page along with a grading rubric. This activity will take 1-2 class periods. It is highly adaptable. I left the file in Word 97-2002 format so you can tweak it for your needs.
This is practice finding the equation of a line given a graph, but doesn't ha

If you are teaching stats and incorporating spreadsheets, this might fit the bill for a fun activity for Halloween. The plus is it does have some educational value, as well as a fun Mystery Image sheet, as well. Students go to a website and read statistical information, then they create line graphs and answer questions in the first spreadsheet. In the second, they are just practicing their spreadsheet formatting skills by following step-by-step instructions to create an image. There are two
This is a crossword puzzle to practice the vocabulary from part 1 of chapter 2 of Asi se dice. Vocab covers family, pets and possessive adjectives. I just found a typo! There is a typo in clue 1, Down, the me should be mi. Sorry! I made a second version... no typos! So you will get 2 crosswords using the same clues and word list with the answer keys. Version 2 has no typos.
Students are asked to create a table for their prom expenses. They are asked to do a poster, then create a bar and or pie graph for their results and for the entire class results. They are also asked to compute the Mean, Median, and Mode for each item in their expense sheet. I uploaded both the doc, and the scanned pdf because you may want the circle for the pie chart.
This activity has students read an online article with current statistics related to Halloween, then make line graphs and answer questions on a Google sheet. The second sheet is a mystery image that appears after you apply the step-by-step formatting instructions. It has a little real math and a little fun, so I use it for Halloween in my statistics classes. The pictures are from my Excel version, but they are very similar. The main difference is that I have fun pictures in this version. To
