I am a 15 year veteran middle school math teacher. I have taught everything between 6th grade and Algebra 1. Getting students to think deeply about how numbers relate to each other in a logical order is one of my greatest passions. These task cards allow students to practice recognizing increasing and decreasing numbers in real life situations. Students will use a positive or negative integer to represent the change in each situation. Teaching style
I follow a "thinking" classroom model, in which students are given just enough to spark their curiosity. Once they start discovering the patterns of math, they begin to soar through logical thinking and problem solving in math class.
