These are number mats that require your students to fill in numbers that come in a sequence. Each mat has two sets of numbers that can be missing in the beginning, middle, or end of the sequence. Once the mats are introduced in a guided math setting, they can be done independently in a math station.
These math mats require your students to fill in numbers between 21-100 and 100-200. The missing numbers may be at the beginning, middle, or end of each sequence. After using in a guided math setting, they can be placed in a math station. After laminating they can be used over and over.
Math station: This activity requires students to attach the correct number of chain links to each kite after they put the kites in order from one to twenty. In addition, there are three blank kites that allow the students to make up their own number. This will keep your students occupied with a meaningful "job" while you work with students in a small group. Skills include: 1 to 1 correspondence, oral counting to 20 (or beyond by using the blank kites).
These math mats allow students to explore measuring objects by length and weight in different ways. It requires them to actively engage both physically and mentally by gathering data, recording and organizing it, and then using it to make decisions based on that data. I also added a section for students to write sentences to explain how they came up with their answer.
These are fun filled engaging math mats with manipulatives built in. I've used real life situations to create scenarios where subtraction actually occurs. Students will have fun "bowling" and keeping track of their score to see who wins. To jumpstart problem solving I have created several word problems for students to solve.
These math mats provide your students with a graphic organizer to orgainize cubes and other objects in a way that allows them to easily understand the letter/object correlation. They can easily "see" the relationship and "read the pattern" with a deeper understanding of how patterns are created.
These reading tools will have your students reading in a snap! By pairing up difficult dipthongs and word parts with visual clues, students can unlock the decoding process quickly and easily. We have seen a huge increase in confidence as students apply these tools to their reading.
These mats will help you teach common core standards by giving students a way to visually see which numbers are bigger. Students can also understand place value of small and large numbers by being able to organize each place with a house. The mats are engaging and fun and allow students connect concrete ideas to mental math concepts.
These colorful engaging mats are great to use during your small group math instruction or in math stations with playdough, wikki stiks, or other pliable materials. They give a defined space for students to create shapes both flat and 3D in a hands-on experience that allows them to use their five senses to explore the very math concepts associated with shapes like "sides" and "vertices."
These hands-on mats include several mixed-up addition/subtraction word problems and manipulatives that force students to use word solving strategies to solve the problem. They can underline key phrases, use the manipulatives to "see" the answer, and use the spaces provided to construct a math sentence. Teaching addition and subtraction has never been easier!
Are you ready for guided math? These mats were created to teach the common core standards in a small group setting. Skills include: Comparing numbers, Numbers less/more, and Counting to 100 by ones and tens.

These are the number cards 1-100 that I use with my students for many of my math mats. They are color coded by each group of tens. For example: the twenties, the thirties..etc. I have made six sets to use at my guided math table. I separate numbers 1-20 so that I can adjust the difficulty of each skill and differentiate instruction easily. I use velcro on the back to make them easier to work with.
A set of two fun, engaging, hands-on math mats that help students to recognize numbers to 20, match counters to each number and then practice writing the number.
An alphabet sound game that is hands-on and fun to play. Students will pick real items out of a container and place them on the alphabet mat. The game can be varied to include middle and ending sounds. Perfect for small group instruction and can be varied per student at the same time. When your done the activity can be used as a balanced literacy work station.
