About the store
I've taught Mathematics for over 15 years, everything from 6th grade math to AP Calculus BC. I've helped to write Curriculum Guides and Scope and Sequence documents for 6th - 12th grades and college level classes, and implemented a high school mathematics Honors program for our high school. I have also taught math to adults at the college level: Remedial Math, College Algebra, Pre-calculus, Calculus, and Statistics. I love my adult students, too! For the last 5 years, I have worked at a school with a 1-1 program (MacBooks and iPads).

Algebra 1 Expressions, Equations and Functions Differentiated Activity

Created by
Math Math Math
This is a differentiated activity for Algebra on the topic of Functions. A choice board allows students to decide what questions they will answer (3 in a row or whatever you specify). Encourage students to choose the problems that are a good fit for them -- not too easy or too hard. Also, allow students to answer in their own way. Many of the questions are designed to be open-ended and to allow students to have an opinion. An answer key and thorough Teacher Notes is included. All of the questi

Teaching style

My teaching style incorporates a lot of classroom discussion, hands-on manipulatives and activities. My favorite classroom moments are when students are working in small groups discussing mathematical ideas, expressing their viewpoints and helping each other to learn.
