Experience

I LOVE teaching Algebra! I started out as a Test-Tutor while still substituting and fell in love. I then taught Algebra at a Boarding School for students with emotional disturbances. Next, I taught in a Public School 9th grade setting with inclusion. Currently, I teach 4th grade elementary and Special Education.

Teaching style

Differentiating instruction is a MUST in my classroom since I have students of all different ability levels. I am big on keeping Algebra FUN! A little creativity can help students LOVE math and feel successful. My teaching style is very hands on. I try to make lessons cross-curricular when appropriate.

I have my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education. I am certified in Early Childhood Education N-3, Elementary Education K-6, Special Education N-21, and Mid-Level Mathematics 6-9. I am continuing my education for my Masters in Environmental Education.
