Teaching style

My teaching style is student-centered, structured, and supportive. I believe students learn best when math is clear, meaningful, and connected to their thinking. I emphasize active learning, growth mindset, and confidence-building strategies, while still maintaining high expectations. Many of my resources include opportunities for discussion, reflection, and practice that support different learning styles. I also value social-emotional learning and intentionally design materials that help students feel calm, capable, and motivated. Above all, my goal is to create resources that are teacher-friendly, easy to implement, and engaging for students, so teachers can spend less time prepping and more time teaching.

Awards & shining teacher moments

In my 11 years of teaching, I have won Teacher of the Year twice. I serve as a new teacher mentor at my school and also a teacher leader. I have also published an SEL coloring book.
