This project requires the students to work in small groups to create a statistical questions, survey their peers. calculate the measures of central tendency, as well as, creating their choice of graph to display their results. There is a great extra credit opportunity for the students to incorporate literacy skills in writing a new article about their findings.
Students sort and count M & M's by color and determine the fraction of colors. Students have to compare and add fractions with like denominators.
