Math NicNacs

Students can complete this project independently, with a partner, or in a group. Students will be given the challenge to spend $1,000,000 - all of it!!! Balancing, budget, and subtraction are all used in this project. They create a quick power point to show off to the class everything they purchased. I gave a prize to the group that was able to spend all of their money right down the last cent.

I brought in various food items that students could "purchase" and eat while they worked on the activity. Students will create their food bill, calculate tax, tip, and discount of their entire bill.
