This resource is following lessons on SSS, SAS, AAS and ASA. There is also the option of no congruency. There is a review worksheet that can be used in class or as homework and there is a quiz in two versions. Answer keys are included and it is editable in Power Point
This project is for Calculus after students have mastered Optimization using derivatives. It is a hands-on activity in which students will find the minimum surface area of different geometric objects given a specific volume and then build the object. It includes worked out solutions for multiple geometric objects so that every student can do a different object. It culminates with a day to fill the objects with candies to see how close their object is to the set volume. Great project!
This Congruent Triangles Cut & Paste sorting activity will help students practice identifying and differentiating between the 5 triangle congruency postulates and theorems: SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS and HL. This is intended for a regular level high school Geometry class. Students will cut 24 pairs of congruent triangles and then sort them into the five categories stated above along with 'not congruent.' Please feel free to email me at kdare@yahoo.com if you have any questions.
Find the volume of real life cylinders. This is a Google Slide activity. It can be used for practice or homework. The slides have fill in the blank for work and answers. A teacher answer sheet is included.
A worksheet with graphs of exponential functions and compound interest problems. One version includes the answers printed on the back so that students can check for their understanding. The worksheet contains matching equations and graphs. There are compound interest problems and continuous compound interest problems.
This Google Slide drag and drop activity includes over 50 problems covering topics on: Converting radians to degreesCo-terminal anglesRight Triangle TrigEvaluating Trig FunctionsTrig graphs (sine, cosine, tangent, cotangent, secant and cosecant)Evaluating trig functions given a coordinateThere are 10 slides with over 50 problems. This is TWO versions of an editable limits quiz in power point. Each version is 19 questions on 2 pages. On this quiz students will be expected to Find a limit from a graph at a given valueFind a limit from one directionFind limits analytically using algebraDetermine points of discontinuity and categorize them as removable or non-removable.Find a missing value of a piecewise function that will make the function continuous. The Power Point resource is editableAnswer Keys are included
This Congruent Triangles Sorting Activity is in Google Slides. Students will categorize 24 pairs of triangles as either not congruent or congruent by SSS, SAS, ASA, AAS or HL. Note: Teacher and students must have a FREE Google drive account to use this resource. Please email me at kdare@yahoo.com if you have any questions
Self checking homework assignment on area of triangles. Students can work out the problems on the accompanying worksheet and enter their answers on the Google Sheet pixel art activity to check and see if their answers are correct. No prep for you and the answer key is included.
This Google Slide activity has 16 problems grouped on 4 pages. Page 1 is cosecant graphs. Page 2 is just secant graphs. Pages 3 and 4 is a mixture of secant and cosecant graphs utilizing phase shifts, vertical shift, as well as, amplitude and period changes. Students have 4 graphs on each slide with 6 equations to choose from. An answer key is included. Make sure to make a copy and delete the last two slides with answers before assigning to students.
This 6 problem worksheet can be used as an activity or homework assignment for finding the area of composite functions. Two measurements are missing from each shape and can be found by using opposite sides of each rectangle. The missing measurments are highligted in green. This includes a worksheet and an answer sheet.
