This resource is to help explain exponents, variables and evaluating/writing expressions in Spanish! This resource may be use as notes for introducing/referencing during the unit, guided practice homework or a study guide before the test.

This a short presentation to introduce exponents, vocabulary and procedures. At the center of this presentation, students will compare and contrast the difference between repeated addition and repeated multiplication. For the compare and contrast portion of the presentation, students will have a bulleted notes sheet that correlates with the slides. This activity is best followed by rep practice to strengthen their exponent skills!

This resource can be used as an quiz-like assessment, independent practice or homework sheet. There are 10 questions that exercise the four main inverse operations with positive integers.

This google slides is a great way to introduce dividing fractions using the DSR (Drop, Swap, Reciprocal) method. The "Pros" of using this method is that academic vocabulary is increased by using the word "reciprocal" instead of "flip" or "change". Students will learn what a reciprocal and a multiplicative inverse is. This Slides with animations is best followed by drill practice.
