This foldable, perfect for an interactive notebook, includes 4 examples each for solving equations with fractions or decimals. Steps for fractions focus on multiplying my the LCD of the fractions to clear the fraction and multiplying by a power of 10 for decimals. One of the 4 examples is a word problem.

I used this as a precursor to division properties of exponents because many of my students had forgotten reducing fractions and cancelling terms on the numerator and denominator. The file is an PDF. It's a half page, designed for Interactive Student Notebooks, but could easily be scaled up for a full page handout. Answer key included.
