About the store
Hi! I'm Katie Leadbetter and I've been in education for 18 years. I taught public school for 14 years - first, fifth, and I worked as a Math TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment). During that time I created TONS of resources not only for myself, but for the teachers in my district, which was one of my favorite parts of the job. Most recently I worked for the US Math Recovery Council. If I'm being honest, I can't stand the overly cutesy teacher resources. Just me?? In my shop you will find cleaner designs that are less overwhleming/overstimulating and are still kid friendly and cute.

Teaching style

As you can see, I have a passion and love for Math. My goal in my work as a math leader the last 10 years has been to transform students math experiences. As such, my resources will not be "just another" version of the same thing that you've seen and done before. My teaching style takes a constructivist approach because if we are going to expect transformative results, we have to approach math instruction from a different perspective. These resources will target much needed areas where most curriculums are lacking, along with the resources, you'll see tips and suggestions for making the learning "stick" for your students.
