About the store

I am currently a district Math Coach in Hillsborough County, Florida. I have been teaching for 34 years in grades K-5 (12 of those years were as a site based math coach). As a site based math coach, I was able to support teachers and administration with best practices in mathematics. In my last school, I was able to help the school increase mathematics proficiency from 29% to 53% in grades 3-5 (over 4 years).

Rounding on a Number Line (nearest 10 and 100)

Using the number line (0-1000) and three 0-9 or hundreds/tens/ones place value dice, students learn to round numbers to the nearest ten and hundred. Product includes: pieces to make a number line beginning at zero and ending at one-thousand, activity directions, and a student recording sheet. This task makes a nice transition to rounding on an open number line.

This product includes three sets of cards for differentiated instruction. Set A shows an array with a matching multiplication (and another card for division) expression. Set B shows a distributive property array with a matching multiplication (and another card for division) expression. Set C includes arrays showing remainders.
