About the store

Experience

I started my teaching career in August 2006. I taught 8th grade for 2 years and the rest have been in the high school setting. I've taught 8th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, and Geometry. I taught 8th grade and high school in the Chicago south suburbs for the first six years of my career before moving to Iowa in 2013 to teach high school.

Teaching style

I designed my lessons to allow time for students to work on practice assignments during class time to try to avoid having homework.

My own education history

I received my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with an emphasis in education from Northern Illinois University in 2005. I received my Master of Arts degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University Chicago in 2010.
