This resource is completely editable. It is a Power Point Document - Jeopardy Game with Scoreboard. Includes: - Simplifying fractions (with regular fractions, improper fractions, and mixed numbers) - Adding and Subtracting fractions with like and unlike denominators - Decomposing fractions (has 2 ways for each one, but would recommend that you show other ways as well) - Converting Mixed Numbers and Improper Fractions

This product goes with the HMH Go Math book for sixth grade; however could be used for 5th and 7th grades as well since it is completely editable. It worked great with my students.

Experience

This is my ninth year teaching and I love it! Every year I learn something new. I am still finding the best ways to teach math; however, I try to share new ideas that work well!

Teaching style

I am a student-centered teacher. It is the students that must learn in order to be successful. I love hands-on activities and games to reinforce lessons learned.

My own education history

I have obtained a Bachelors degree in Education K-6 grade from ETSU. Currently, a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction with Emphasis in Coaching from CNU, and an Education Specialist degree in curriculum and instruction with a physical education add on.

Additional biographical information

I am a very outdoorsy person and try to instill that into my classroom. There will be more ideas and activities to come from my awesome and MathAbulous classroom!
