About the store
I started teaching 2nd and 3rd grade in 2009, and in 2012 I moved to Switzerland to seek new experiences. After a few years living and teaching abroad, I moved home to DC and into the role of math coordinator for PreK-5th grade. I discovered a love for all things math! Math games, math tasks, math projects, math puzzles, STEM challenges… Making sense of curriculum challenges and making it engaging and fun has led to me be a PYP Curriculum Coordinator, and I love building an inquiry-based curriculum with teachers. I am constantly creating, organizing, and looking for ways to make learning fun and meaningful!

Teaching style

When it comes to math, the fewer worksheets the better! There are many ways to solve a problem, and every kid (and adult) can do math. I believe in manipulatives, multiple strategies, math talk, games, and open-ended tasks to encourage problem solving and creativity while learning and applying math skills.
