This is an outline of the research that my students conduct to apply the idea of misleading statistics and graphs. Students have to find their own examples of misleading statistics in the news, advertising, and in a courtroom. I have my students make a PowerPoint to display their project but the final product is up to the buyer. This is an editable assignment on Word and does not include a rubric.

This file comes with an editable PowerPoint and the documents as a PDF. Included is a set of filled in teacher notes with the corresponding PowerPoint for easy presentation. The answers are set to arrive upon clicking. Students will be given a set of the same notes (also included) that have blanks that will be filled in as the notes are taught.
