RATIOS ACTIVITY: Making Colors of Icing
This is a fun, hands-on lesson that teaches students what a ratio is by creating different colors of icing. Students will first begin with an engagement activity where they explore what ratios and proportions are with pattern blocks. Practice problems are provided so students may practice how to write and simplify ratios. Then students are introduced to three specific color ratios that they will produce using food coloring and icing. Finally, they will discuss their learning with discussion ques
