The handout contains real numbers of each category. Have small groups of students categorize the different types of numbers. The teacher will need to circulate providing encouragement, suggestions and correction of minor errors. An extension could be to arrange all numbers on a number line. Students cut apart small triangles and then match the sides to form a large parallelogram. Students match two or three numbers with the greatest common factor. One-third of the problems involve three numbers. Numbers needing a GCF are less than 100 except for one. GCF range from six to 28. Two sets of numbers are multiples of the other number.

The content includes divisibility rules for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9. It includes a statement of each rule and then a number of applications of the rules with numbers. This is a set that can be printed on card stock or regular paper and laminated. Run off as many copies as needed to make a set of cards for a group of two or three and cut them apart. Original has cards in correct order.

Students cut apart a 4 by 4 square with square roots and numbers. By lining up equivalent square roots and numbers, they create a new 4 by 4 puzzle. Includes square roots of fractions.
