Mathematics Active Learning

Students match cards containing parametric equations, the corresponding table of values and the corresponding graph. Cards are randomized so that students can cut them apart and then match them. Matching cards are presented at the end. This activity should be completed before students are introduced to the procedure for graphing parametric equations on a graphing utility. If not, then this activity will lose its usefulness and will take no time to finish.

This is a power point that reviews/introduces factoring techniques. It include difference of two squares, sum and difference of two cubes, guess and check and splitting the middle term. Students start with one of the six trig functions and then change the function by applying identities. Once completed, the final product is passed to another group to simplify. This is a Power Point Presentation that provides instructions for students to follow.
