Looking for some interesting real-world/application problems that involve Piece-Wise Defined Functions? Look no further--such problems are here! There are 3 main problems given, but each of these problems have multiple sub-questions to ensure that students can solidify their conceptual, algebraic, and geometric understanding of how such problems work and are a part of every day life. A solution key is provided. You can purchase either a PDF or PowerPoint version. This version is the Powe

Experience

I have been a mathematics educator for 34+ years, having served 6 of those years as a System Mathematics Specialist and 28 of those years in the classroom. I am currently retired and loving it! I have also taught several different college/university level math courses throughout the years in night school and in summer school.

Teaching style

I believe that students should be taught mathematics conceptually, verbally, algebraically, geometrically, numerically, analytically, and technologically! All students learn differently, therefore, I strive to vary the ways that I present and teach various mathematical concepts.
