I have over 18 years experience teaching/tutoring high school math in content areas of Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, and PreCalculus in Massachusetts. Being bilingual (English and Spanish) and through my certificate to teach math to ELL, I developed my school's first math curriculum for English Language Leaners. I have taught during the summer for pre-collegiate programs geared toward first-generation college bound Boston youth.

Experience

I have over 18 years experience teaching/tutoring high school math in content areas of Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, and PreCalculus in Massachusetts. Teaching style

I'm a strong believer in student voices and group work among students to help them maximize their math potential. I enjoy collaborating with educators to help make math accessible to students of various backgrounds.

My own education history

I graduated from Framingham State University with a BS in Mathematics in 2009 and from UMass Boston with a MEd in Secondary Education in 2014. I have a certificate to teach Math to English Language Learners

Additional biographical information

I am bilingual (English and Spanish) and enjoy traveling to learn about different cultures. Outside of being an educator I enjoy dancing (bachata and salsa), board games, room escapes, scary movies, and chocolate.
