Mathlete Max was created to make learning math fun, exciting, and confidence-building for kids from kindergarten through 5th grade. Through engaging stories, interactive activities, and a one-of-a-kind math book series, students join Max on a journey to explore math concepts step by step. Teaching style

Mathlete Max teaches with energy, encouragement, and excitement! He uses fun stories, challenges, and real-life connections to help students see how math is all around them. Max focuses on building confidence first, showing kids that mistakes are just stepping stones to learning. With Max, math feels like a team sport—everyone can play and everyone can win!

My own education history

Genaro Garcia—the creator behind Mathlete Max! For over 13 years, I’ve dedicated my life to public education, including 6 years as a math instructional coach. I’ve had the honor of writing and leading professional development for teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators across the country. But my true passion? Helping students fall in love with learning math and supporting teachers so they can bring math to life in their classrooms. Mathlete Max was born from that passion—to make math fun, exciting, and something every kid can feel confident about.
