Experience

Maggie Lee McHugh has been an educator for over 18 years. Her experience in the classroom has mainly centered on working with middle school students; however, Maggie has spent time in classrooms as young as 4K through teaching high school Algebra and Geometry. Currently, Maggie works with pre-service teachers, guiding them as they explore elementary and middle school mathematics.

Teaching style

Maggie believes in authentic mathematics, regularly engaging her students in Math Modeling tasks. She loves teaching through a Project-Based Learning style. She uses games in the math classroom to build fluency.
