This activity is created as a supplemental activity for students to do after learning how to partition shapes into equal shares. This activity helps students to show conceptual understanding while doing a fun activity! It is a word document and can be altered.

I like to have something like this on the board as my students walk into class. Many times I will attach an extra slide for the warm up so as soon as the bell rings I can easily click to the next slide for their bell work. This is completely editable and I personally use the same layout every day and just update the info that needs to be changed to match each lesson along with the middle image. I use motivational quotes in the center to set the mood of my classroom. Enjoy!

Additional biographical information

Hi! I'm Marisa. I honestly don't know what I would do if I wasn't a math teacher. I LOVE teaching! Education = Life! Oh... and Calculators! But...to be serious, my family is pretty important too. Which is why I am focusing on starting to create curriculum items for others that can be used to minimize time spent searching for good materials and maximize learning time for students....because that's why we became teachers isn't it? Because we care so much for others. Teachers already work more hours than any other profession can understand! We need family time and down-time (some) too!
