A 5 slide PowerPoint Presentation focusing on writing equations in slope-intercept form using Point-slope form. Two examples given a point on the slope and three examples given two points. Made with PPT 2007, but converted to be compatible with PPT '97-'03.
Students will be given data that represents information that a professional actuary might use. The students will have to translate each set of data into a two-variable equation. The next step will be for the students to set two of the equations equal to each other, in order to answer a question regarding when two particular variables will be equal. As I am working more and more with lower grades in my current position as a technology integration coach, I am trying my hand at creating instructional units for all grades. Constructive feedback is highly appreciated.
